Katie McRae, Executive Director
Hello, I’m Katie McRae, I wasn’t born a native Texan,
but got here just as fast as I could.
My husband, Ken, and I have lived in Temple since 2007 and are raising our four kids: Liam, Liv, Lucie, Elizabeth and our puppy, Molly Blue. I have a degree in B.S. Christian Leadership from Liberty University and have 20 years of leadership experience working in the corporate sector and, later, our church.
Ken and I spend much of our time at church, Temple Bible Church, where we worship and serve, together. I have always felt called to care for children & families in crisis and I love showing others how they are too. James 1:27.
My favorites are hanging with family, exploring new places, organizing chaos & studying the Word of God.
Sariah Winkler, Community Coordinator, MSW
Hi, I'm Sariah! I was born and raised in Belton, but left for 4 years to attend Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. At Tarleton, I earned a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Social Work.
I have always loved children, and am so blessed by the Lord who called me into this field of work! I enjoy spending time with Jesus, my parents, my sister and brother-in-law who have two children. My niece and nephew are two of my greatest blessings. On the weekends, I hang out with my friends, travel, and drink coffee (iced caramel macchiatos to be specific :-).
My steps truly are ordered by the Lord, and they led me straight to Foster Love Bell County. I am so excited to serve children, families, and caseworkers in the foster community.
Joy Sexton,
Programs Assistant
Hi, I’m Joy! I have been married for 18 years to Anson and we have three daughters that keep us very busy with FFA, basketball, cheer and doing all the things!
While I was in college I began working in the surf apparel industry and spent 9 years designing clothes in California, until I had Emerson, 16 years ago. Our family of 3 moved to Paarl, South Africa for a couple years as missionaries and returned back to the U.S. just before I had our second child, Reese.
Over the next 11 years, I was a pastor’s wife, homeschool mom, florist and our youngest, Frankie, came along. My favorite things are my Bible, hot tea, singing to We the Kingdom, family weekend getaways and my pups, Dolly & Mabel.
I will always be a beach girl at heart, but really enjoy a Texas sunset with some chips and queso!
